A synopsis can consist of 2000 to 5000 words.
Apart from a tentative list of chapters, you need to include a page of

Introduction
A Content Page
Its Scope
Brief summary of each chapter
A Bibliography
An Index of subject headings
A Note of Salutation, where you mention the names of the important people, like the name of Supervisor, Head of the Department, etc.
