When will be Android M available for Moto G phone?

According to the rumours doing the rounds, Moto G is not likely to receive the Android M update. Since the device is already crossing the 18 month period of update support as per Google policy, it may not be eligible for the update.
However, there is no official confirmation about this.

As per the reports, Moto G is likely to get Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update soon within a month or so. There is no talk about Moto G getting the unnamed Android M version. Android M is likely to be seen first on Nexus phones.
