  • Both, Yu Yureka and Lenovo A7000 comes under the price tag of Rs. 7000. And really they both have got amazing features along with fascinating looks. So let me go straight to the point and tell you some major differences between Yureka and A7000.

Hardware: Yureka beats Lenovo A7000 in terms of performance and hardware. Both of them have 1.5GHz octa-core but processor make is different for both. A7000 has Mediatek MT6752m whereas Yureka has Qualcomm Snapdragon 615. And practically qualcomm is much efficiently in performance, therefore Yureka wins here.
    Winner: Yu Yureka wins here.

Display: Both of them have almost same display features. So, its draw here.

Storage & RAM: Yureka as well as A7000, both features 2 GB of RAM. But Yureka got a plus point in internal storage as it provides a 16 GB of internal memory whereas A7000 provides only 8 GB.
Winner: Yureka wins in internal storage!

Camera: Both smartphone provides the same MP of selfie cam, i.e, front camera which is of 5 MP. But Yureka again gets a step ahead in terms of back camera as it features 13 MP and A7000 provides only 8 MP.
    Winner: Yureka wins here.

Battery: Here A7000 outrages Yureka in terms of its battery capacity as it provides 2900 mAh battery capacity whereas Yureka provides 2500 mAh battery capacity.
Winner: Lenovo A7000 gets its first win here due to its larger battery capacity.

Sensors: In sensors too, Yureka wins as it provides a total of four sensors - Proximity, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. But A7000 provides the three sensors (Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor) and is void of Gyroscope when compared to Yureka.
    Winner: Yureka wins here too!

So these were the major differences between Yu Yureka and Lenovo A7000. And you can clearly see that Yureka is always a step forward to A7000. And frankly speaking, I do not like the UI of A7000. Hence, Yureka is the best smartphone here.

  • Lenovo has pitted it's A7000 against the Yu Yureka from Micromax. Given the fact that Yureka has set higher standards for the price segment, it would be interesting to compare the two competing devices.

    Design -
The A7000 continues to have the same look as on A6000. The matte finish on back panel gives it a premium look. While Yureka is the most good looking device in the price range.
A7000 is a bit lighter than the Yureka. It is a bit slimmer too.

    A7000: 152.6 x 76.2 x 8 mm (6.01 x 3.00 x 0.31 in) 140 g
    Yu Yureka: 154.8 x 78 x 8.8 mm 155 g
So, it would be a matter of personal preferences here.

    Display -
Both the the devices share the same display features. Yureka has additional benefit of having Gorilla Glass 3 protection. A7000 on the other hand has sharp color reproduction and better viewing angles. Yureka does not have better outdoor visibility.

A7000: 5.5-inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display with 720x1280 pixels (~267 ppi pixel density)
Yu Yureka: 5.5-inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display with 720x1280 pixels (~267 ppi pixel density)

    Performance and Hardware -
Yureka is a clear winner in this segment. It has the best in class processor. A7000 has a octacore processor just like on Yureka which may be a plus point for it. But A7000 has lesser internal memory in comparison to Yureka. This may go against it.

    A7000: 1.5 GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6752m CPU with Mali-T760MP2 GPU and 2 GB RAM
8GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB
Yu Yureka: 1.5 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 CPU with Adreno 405 GPU and 2 GB RAM
16GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB

    Software -
Yureka runs on Cyanogen OS which may not be easy to handle for everyone. A7000 comes with Lollipop albeit with heavy customisation. It all depends on how you can assimilate the two software variants.

A7000: Android 5.0 Lollipop with Lenovo's Vibe UI on top
Yu Yureka: Android 4.4.4 KitKat based CyanogenMod 11S

    Camera -

As far as camera features are concerned Yureka offers better options. Though A7000 is not far behind, Yureka has a better placed camera to provide some best shots.

A7000: Rear 8MP camera with autofocus, LED flash
    Front 5 MP
Yu Yureka: Rear 13MP camera with autofocus, LED flash
    Front 5 MP

    Battery -
A smartphone with an ineffective battery life would be as good as a piece of brick. A7000 has a better battery with a 16 hour back up. Yureka has a slightly lower battery capacity with just the half of that backup time.

    A7000: 2900 mAh battery
    Yu Yureka: 2500 mAh battery

    Price -

Price wise, Yureka is better placed in the price bracket it has been brought at. The features are quite great for the price tag it carries.
