    There are two ways to backup or download all your Whatsapp contacts.

    1. Use 'WEX-Contact Exporter' Google Play/Android App to backup. You can easily download all the contacts in .csv form. Later you can upload it to new phone with .csv file extension compatibility.
    2. Always synchronize your contacts with Google, and you will always be ready to backup all contacts using Google/Gmail's Export facility.

    Its better to synchronize your whatsapp contacts with the google account.If you lost all your contacts you can get them easily by giving your gmail account in your phone, or any device you have. It automatically fetches all your contacts that you have synchronized before.
