Specification, features and price of Lenovo A6000 Plus

Lenovo seems to have decided to take leaps into every segment of the smartphone category. It has now announced an improved version of its existing device, A6000 with a few variations.

Specifications of the Lenovo A6000 plus

Design
The physical dimensions of the new device are 141x 70x 8.2 mm. It weighs 128 grams. It has a few improvements over the older model to give it a premium look. Color availability of the device will be in Black, White, Yellow and Red.

Display
The phone sports a 5 inch screen at 720x 1280 resolution. It has a pixel density of 294 ppi. It sports a IPS capacitive touchscreen display.

Hardware
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz . Adreno 306 GPU is incorporated to handle graphics. It has 2 GB on board RAM which should be enough for resource hungry apps and effective multitasking. The internal memory of the phone is 16 GB that can be expanded upto 32 GB. This is where Lenovo has significantly improved it's previous A6000 model. The older model has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory.

Software

The device runs on Android Kit kat 4.4.4. Customization is provided by Lenovo VibeUI 2.0. It has a few Lenovo specific apps.preinstalled.

Camera
The phone carries a 8 MP rear camera. Camera resolution is 3264x2448 pixels. Other camera features include Auto focus, LED flash, geo tagging, face detection and touch focus. There is a 2 MP front camera for self is and video calls.

Other Features

It is a dual SIM phone with dual standby. It has support for 4G/LTE. Other connectivity features on the device are WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio and microUSB . The phone carries accelerometer and proximity sensors. Battery capacity of the device is 2300 mAh. Lenovo has not yet come up with the standby and talk rime statistics.

Price and availability

Lenovo is yet to come out with the exact release date. Given the fact that A6000 costs Rs. 7000 & A7000 at Rs. 9000, this new device may be priced somewhere in the middle.

An update here. The Lenovo A6000 plus price has been revealed. It has been priced at Rs.7499. The first flash sale will be held on Flip kart on April, 28. Registrations have begun already.

This smartphone also comes with a great sleek design as the previous model of 141 x 70 x 8.2 mm. It was found to be around 128 gram in weight. It supports Dual-SIM (Micro-SIM, dual stand-by).

Display
The device comes with an IPS capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors of 5.0 inches which supports the resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It has 294 PPi which is quite near average. It is a multitouchs smartphone.

Platform
This smartphone operates on Android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat). It gives a great working speed with the help of Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410, Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processor which is accompanied with 2 GB of RAM. It's GPU is Adreno 306.

Memory
It comes loaded with 16 GB of internal storage space and you can extend the external storage space via microSD card up to 32 GB.

Camera
It offers a primary camera of 8 MP, 3264 x 2448 pixels with Auto-focus and LED flash features. Some of the camera related features are Geo-tagging, Touch Focus and Face Detection. It gives a great HD quality video output. It also offers a secondary camera of 2 MP.

Sound & Connectivity
This device comes embedded with a loudspeaker and also supports a 3.55 mm audio jack for the headphones connectivity. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot feature, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, FM radio and a microUSB v2.0 as its connectivity features.

Other Features
It comes loaded with two sensors and they are Accelerometer and proximity. Some of the messaging related features of this smartphone are SMS(threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail and IM. It doesn't supports Java.

Battery & Colors
It is powered by the powerful battery of Li-Po 2300 mAh. It will be available to buy on 28th April, 2015 in Black, White, Yellow and Red colors.

My Verdict
I am quite impressed with its specifications and features with such a cheap price tag and I am surely going to buy this smartphone.

Lenovo A6000 Plus is a very good smartphone available on Flipkart for just Rs.7499/-. It is a very good smartphone at this price.
