HTC Desire 326G Dual SIM smartphone specification and feedback

The HTC Desire 326G is an entry level smartphone from the Taiwanese firm HTC. Exact date of availability is yet to be announced.

With the physical dimensions reading 139.7 x 69.6 x 9.7 mm, the phone tilts the scales at 146 grams. It is expected to be available before the end of May. The device will be available in White Birch and Black Onyx color variants.

Display
It sports a 4.5 inch FWVGA screen with 480x854 resolution. Pixel density of the screen is supposed to be 218 ppi.

Hardware
The device will be powered by quad-core Speadtrum SC7731G processor clocking at 1.2GHz. The phone carries a 1 GB RAM which, though, may appear paltry in today's 3 GB models- is fine for a entry level device. It carries an internal memory of 8 GB which can be expanded upto 32 GB via microSD card.

Camera
It comes with an 8 MP rear camera with 3264 x 2448 resolution. It has a BSI sensor on both rear and front cameras. The rear camera has fetures like burst mode, smile shot and geo tagging among others. Full HD recording at 1080p is also available. The device has a 2 MP front camera as well.

Software
The phone runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. Customisation is by HTC Sensei UI. It also has some HTC specific apps like HTC Zone, HTC Blinkfeed and an Easy Mode.

Battery
Battery capacity of the device is 2000 mAh. It has been rated for 11 hours of talktime and 386 hours of standby time on 3G.
Other features
It is a dual SIM device with dual standby. It supports micro SIM for functioning. Connectivity features on the device are Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS and microUSB. It also carries a couple of sensors in the form of proximity sensor and accelerometer.

Availability
The price of the device is yet to be announced. The phone is supposed to be available at all retailers from second half of May. It has a bundled offer from Hungama for a three month unlimited music download. There is also a discount of Rs. 5000 from Myntra for the prospective buyers.
