Chillr is a new app that let's you send money to any person in your phone book. You will be able to send money 24 hours a day- 7 days a week. It makes use of MMID which is code that is used to link your registered mobile number to your bank account.
To Begin With
The service is currently available on HDFC. Follow the below mentioned steps to activate the service-
STEP 1 Generate MMID via HDFC mobile banking or netbanking. The instructions are self explanatory in the corresponding sections.
STEP 2 Call 1800 266 262 (toll free) to generate M-Pin. You need to change the M-Pin to any 4 digit M-Pin of your choice. To do this -
- Dial *99#
- Enter HDFC as first 4 letters of your bank.
- Select the option to change M-Pin
- Follow on screen instructions to change the M-Pin
STEP 3 Download the
Chillr app from Google play store or Apple app store depending on your OS.

How to send Money?
It is as simple as making a call or sending an SMS. Just select the person from your contact list, enter the amount and authorise it using your M-Pin. The amount is transferred to the receivers bank account within 30 seconds. Please remember your friend should be registered to the IMPS service- not necessarily to Chillr.
You can also invite your friend to install the app using the option from within the app. As long as your friend has an MMID, you can easily send the money even if he has a non HDFC account.
Charges
There are no charges for downloading or using the app. However transaction charges apply at Rs. 3.50+ST per transaction irrespective of the amount being transferred.
