Micromax Yu Yureka

It has been recently released in December, 2014 and many people are crazy to buy this device and still they are not able to get one. It is a touchscreen device which has made the Micromax as one of the leading company of India. It is made with the dimensions of 154.80 x 78.00 x 8.80 mm which gives a great stylish look to this device. It was found to be 177 gram in weight. It is powered by the 2500 mAh Li-ion battery which gives an easy battery backup of upto 5 hours with some hardcore gaming. It is available in just Moonstone Grey color.

Display
It features a 5.50 inches of screen with supports the resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels so as to contend many other device with its display. It has 267 PPI which is considered to be below average. It comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass.

Hardware
It is well known for its hardware capabilities as it has all the required features to match the smooth working speed even while playing graphic demanding games as it runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, 1.5 GHz octa-core processor with 2 GB of RAM. My Verdict

Its a great device to buy at the price tag of Rs. 9 K. The best buy for this device will be from Amazon.in. As you can also check around, many people are crazy to get this device so you must conclude that its a great device to buy and it will give value to your money. But remember, the device gets heated up very quickly while playing some heavy games.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G

General
It was released in August, 2014 which is just before the release of Yu Yureka in December, 2014. It has also been blazing the market. It is made with the dimensions of 154.00 x 78.70 x 9.45 mm. It is 199 gram in weight which is just slightly heavy than Yu Yureka. It is powered by the powerful removable battery of 3100 mAh. It is available in just white color.

Display
It features a screen of 5.50 inches which supports the resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It gives a great view in comparison with many other devices in the same price tag.

Hardware
It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 1.6 GHz quad-core with 2 GB of RAM which helps it to give you with a great smooth working speed. It comes loaded with the internal storage space of 8 GB and the external storage space can be expanded using microSD card up to 64 GB so that you can store your data in it quite comfortably.

Camera
It offers a primary camera of 13 MP with flash and a secondary camera of 5 MP.

Software & Connectivity
It runs on Android 4.4 which allows you to enjoy many Android games easily. It also supports Java. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/ g/ n/ ac, GPS, Bluetooth v4.00, Wi-Fi Direct, 3.55 mm audio jack, FM, Dual SIM support, microUSB and it can also be charged via microUSB.

My Verdict

It is also considered to be one of the best device to buy these days as it comes embedded with much great features and that too at a cheap price tag of Rs. 9,999. It also gives value to your money and perfectly fills your expected demands. But the device would have been a great buy if developers provided a 16 GB internal storage.

Final Conclusion

Its very difficult to chose or select the best among Yu Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G as they both have many similar features and specifications. But as per my opinion Yu Yureka will be the best choice to select from Yu Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.

Rather than giving the full list  of specifications of the devices, I would prefer offering a real kind of comparison based on some important criteria.-

Design and Build

Both the Devices in question are closer to each other. With the physical dimensions almost similar, Redmi Note is a bit thicker. Also it weighs 199 grams while Yu weighs only 177 grams. Design and build quality is quite solid on both. Redmi feels a bit more durable because of its weight. Yu is slightly sleeker and lighter. The matte finish on Yu appeals more than the glossy plastic on Note. Yu fits better in your hand while the Note feels heavy.

Display

Both the devices sport a 5.5 inch screen with 720p resolution. Colors look little warmer on Redmi Note. If you are fond of rich colors, you will like Redmi. But the screen of Yu is more balanced. It also has better outdoor legibility. Note on the other hand has better viewing angles.

Software

Yu runs on Cyanogen mod 11 OS -  based on Android Kitkat.  Redmi Note is an Android device with Kitkat 4.4 running on it with MiUi skin. MiUi is more easier to use. It differs much from the stock Android experience . It provides you iOS kind of experience. Cyanogen on the other hand is almost stock Android. But it has pretty many customization options. This allows you to truly customize your phone.

Hardware

So finally it boils down to the performance to decide the better one among these two. Yu is powered by Snapdragon  615 Octacore processor clocking at 1.5 GHz and Adreno 405 GPU. Redmi is powered by Snapdragon 400 Quad core processor with a clock speed of 1.6Ghz.  It has Adreno 305 GPU. Internal memory provided on Yu is a whopping 16 GB while Redmi Note offers just 8 GB. Both the devices offer almost similar lag free performance. When it comes to sound quality, Note has better speakers - however the difference is too subtle. With its Octacore processor, Yu looks future proof.  Both devices can handle resource hungry apps quite easily - thanks to the 2 GB on board RAM on both the phones. The memory can be expanded up to 32 GB on Yu while Redmi allows memory expansion up to 64 GB.

Camera

The similarities continue even here. Both of them have  13 MP rear camera with Auto focus and flash. The front snappers are 5 MP. Redmi can capture better colors. But the images captured on Yu have more details. The metering is better handled in Yu.

Battery

Yu has a 2500 mAh battery while Redmi uses a 3100 mAh one. It is found that Redmi gives more standby and talk time - almost two and a half hours better than Yu.

My Choice

As I have compared the devices above based on some key points, it is found that either of them almost similar. However I would prefer Yu because of its better and newer processor. I treat it slightly better due to the more internal memory and support for dual SIM. Also it is cheaper by around Rs. 1000 than the Note.
