  • What to do if Aadhar card not recieved after 3 years of submission?

Haven't got Aadhar card yet? Here you can learn how to resolve long pending Aadhar card applications

Aadhar card is an important document and I am unfortunate enough to not receive it till now. My family applied Aadhar card 3 years back and we waited for a long time. A friend told me that there must have been some problem with my application for Aadhar card. So we re-submit it two more times and still has not received the card.

We contacted the authority and they told that the process is finished and we are not supposed to furnish application twice.

Is there any solution to this problem?

You will need to verify whether your data has been submitted to the concerned agency. Here are a few details on how to contact the UIDAI -
    • Voice call - UIDAI has a Toll Free number 1800-180-1947. Try to contact the customer executives who may guide you on the actions to be taken.
    • Fax -080-23531947
    • By Post
      P.O.Box 1947,GPO, Bangalore-560001

You may also find the status of Aadhar application on UIDAI portal here -https://resident.uidai.net.in/web/resident/check-aadhaar-status . You will need to submit your enrollment details and the exact status of your application will be available. If the application has been rejected, you can take a printout of the info from portal and show it to the concerned authority so that you can re-apply.

    1. May be your bio-metrics were not clear after being taken at the time of giving application.
    2. It may be possible that after the submission your first application of Aadhar was issued but you haven't received and you have applied for a new Aadhar unknowingly. Please check on internet about your Aadhar Status using the all three receipts.
    3. It may be possible that the Aadhar was not posted to your address because of some address issue.
    4. It may be possible that you haven't visited the correct place to know what's the problem actually is.

Few suggestions are there for you to solve your problem as I also had faced the same issue and had received the Aadhar after a long time.

You must go through the following procedure to get your Aadhar.
    1. You must have the all three receiving receipt of Aadhar card with you to get your Aadhar back.
    2. Go to the nearest center where Aadhar related issues are currently being handled.
    3. Provide them the receiving receipt and ask for the problem. If among those receipt, the receipt on which your Aadhar was issued exists then they will provide you the print out of your Aadhar card.
    4. On checking the enrollment number along with date of every receiving receipt the result is rejected then you must visit the nearest Aadhar Regional Office to get a proper solution of your problem. You can easily google about the nearest Aadhar Regional Office and provide then the details of the three receipts they'll definitely solve your problem and let you know what was your actual problem with your Aadhar card. I had gone through these steps and right now I have my Aadhar with me.
