Best software for editing pics in PC

Looking for good editing alternatives to Picassa, Adobe Photoshop and Photo Scape? The responses below will provide you with a list of great editing software to choose from.

I am interested in editing images and I usually do it. I worked out with Photo Scape, Picassa, Adobe photo shop. I just want to know the editing software which can be used in a PC rather than those which I mentioned above. So that I can try the new ones and edit my images in a better way.

Let me tell you something. If you've used Adobe Photoshop and are still looking for something better, you wouldn't find one. Adobe Photoshop is the best photo editor out there, Period!

It is not the most easy to use and has a lot of advanced features for a general editor, but there's no limit to what you can do with Photoshop. If you're looking for an easy to use and a light software instead, try Irfan view or Gimp.
