  • How to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 8?

Just a few more days are remaining to ring the end of life for Windows XP. How can I upgrade my Windows XP to Windows 7 or Windows 8? Can I upgrade for free? Find out the options.

I heard that probably Windows XP will not last longer than April 2014. So, most of the XP users will have to migrate to another Windows platform like Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. Please share some details about how to migrate from Windows XP to Windows 8 and the potential issues in usage of Windows XP post April 2014.

  • First of all, you need to know whether your system can run Windows 8 or not. Please check the following System Requirement for Windows 8:

    - RAM: 1GB or More.
    - Hard Disk Space: 20GB or More.
    - Processor: 1GHz or more.
    - Graphics: DirectX version 9.0 or later.

Steps to Upgrade Windows XP to Windows 8:
    - Buy the Windows 8 Upgrade DVD.
    - Put the DVD and Restart you Computer.
    - Press f2 or Delete, for getting boot menu.
    - Change Device Priority to DVD ROM.
    - restart your Computer.
    - Windows 8 Upgrading wizard appears.
    - Choose Region And Language and follow the instruction.

(Note: You must need a high speed internet connection to upgrade).

    Thanks & Regards,
