How to clean air filter/cleaner for Spendor Pro bike

I suggest you to clear Air Filter issue for Splendor Pro bike upon servicing it at nearest service center. It is nothing but a normal procedure which one can easily remove the screw of Air filter box near the engine and unscrew the air filter fixed in it then take it out and clean it or replace it.

Once you clean it by air pressure or just beating it at dry place, you may fix it in a proper location with screw it.

I am feeling happy to hear that someone is interested in doing small jobs himself or someone has interest in the mechanical part of the bikes. Good going friend and I would suggest you to do all your practical on your Splendor Pro because since Hero manufactures bikes that requires less maintenance so you can easily do all your experiments on the bike. It's very easy to clean the air filter but there can be some difficulties while learning it by theory rather than learning it by viewing a live practical. If the following steps given below you can't be able to make you learn how to clean the air filter then I would suggest you that you should visit one day to the service centre and see how your bike is getting serviced. I had learnt many of the things by seeing the mechanic servicing my bike or anyone's bike like clearing the air filter, changing the back light bulb,removing and making connections of the battery,clearing the spark plug, to tight the chain and last but not the least to remove some parts etc.

Follow these steps to clean the air filter :-

1. Open the cover of the air filter which is located under the rider seat. In one side there is battery case in another there is air filter chamber.

2. On removing the right case you can view an air filter which is fixed by the two clips on top and the bottom.

3. On Removing the air filter by pulling the top clip the air filter gets easily removed or detached from your bike.

4. Then as you take off the filter you can see that the filter is protected by a metal case. Draw out the filter by pulling the filter from the top.

5. On horizontally hitting the filter on hard clean surface you can see that dust is coming out in the form very minute smoke particles.

6. Now reverse the steps to re-assemble the air filter part.
