Internet Banking is safe if you follow some safety rules,. Here is some tips for safe internet banking-
1. Keep changing your password regularly.
2. Do not share your account details, password or username to anyone.
3. Do not login your internet banking account in cafe or public computers.
4. Check your amount regularly specially after making an online transaction whether correct amount deducted or not.
5. Use a licensed antivirus software so that your personal data remain secure.
6. Do not click on any link coming to your e-mail or phone which are related to your bank.

Though internet is human's greatest invention, it's a loophole of several malpractices. And without your knowledge you and your activities will be observed daily by notorious hackers. So, when you are about to login to any website of particular bank, check for the green colour with a lock in URL bar i.e. 'https' in URL bar.
Also, don't respond to mails that you receive on behalf of your bank without checking them for safety. Generally, banks don't ask their customers to enter their confidential information unless it is highly urgent. When making an online purchase via internet banking create a virtual debit card, which will expire very soon after a transaction and making your transaction more secure. a. Use anti theft fixed browser
b. Clear browsing history after every transaction or process
c. Keep using your personal or private PC/Laptop; avoid using in cyber cafes.
