    How to unlock BIOS password for my laptop?

    Dear Expert, I would like to know how to unlock BIOS password for IBM/Lenovo laptop - my laptop was little issue in its fan (Fan error) thus replaced it and once try to Switch on the laptop - it is asking BIOS password to go for set up screen or OS. The reason showing in the Laptop is "Error code - system tampered with"

    How to solve the issue since it is not accepting even old password of BIOS? Do I need to change mother board or dispose it though I tried via CMOS set up?

    Member, below are the best steps to unlock BIOS password in a Lenovo desktop or laptop.

    For computer
    1. Turn off your system and ensure its unplugging.

    2. Now, open the CPU case.

    3. There on, look for a circular silver metallic object. It is the CMOS battery.

    5. When you find it, remove it gently and reinsert.

    That is all, your system BIOS password will no more appear before you. Happy boot!

    Thanks Muntasir for Reply, I tried this way prior to posting question here but it is not working as such, thus asking for any other option from expert or do I need to replace the mother board or just scrap the laptop? If we go to its customer service they asks money more than few thousands to do so.
