Method 1: Disable the TaskPad option

To disable the TaskPad option in outlook 2003, please follow the below steps.

Step 1 - On the File menu, click Print.

Step 2 - Click Page Setup.

Step 3 - On the Format tab, click to clear the TaskPad check box.

Step 4 - Click OK to close the Page Setup dialog box.

Method 2: Update the permissions of the user

Note: These steps are to be completed by the user who shares his or her calendar and tasks.

To update the permissions of the user, please follow the below steps.

Step 1 - In the Navigation Pane, click Calendar.

Step 2 - Go to the File menu, select Folder, and then click Properties for "Calendar".

Step 3 - Click the Permissions tab.

Step 4 - Click Add, and then add the user.

Step 5 - With the user selected, set the Permission Level to a minimum of Reviewer.

Step 6 - Click OK to close the Calendar Properties dialog box.

In addition to the above, to update the permissions for the user of the shared tasks, follow these steps:

Step 1 - In the Navigation Pane, click on Tasks.

Step 2 - On the File menu, point to Folder, and then click Properties for "Tasks".

Step 3 - Click the Permissions tab.

Step 4 - Click Add, and then add the user.

Step 5 - With the user selected, set the permission Level to a minimum of Reviewer.

Step 6 - Click OK to close the Tasks Properties dialog box.
