How to add or upload files to Dropbox


Dropbox serves as files host. In this article, I have discussed about how to add or upload files to dropbox in Windows, Mac, Linux and by using Dropbox website.

What is Dropbox?


Dropbox is a file hosting service provider which offers cloud storage, file synchronization and client software. To use Dropbox application on your computer, you have to install Dropbox desktop application. It creates a new folder called Dropbox folder in your computer. This folder works same as other folders in our hard drive, the only difference is that Dropbox folder automatically synchronizes with web and with any other computer with Dropbox installed.

How to sync file between computers


To sync files between computers, you need to install Dropbox desktop application and sign in using the same login. If you have already it installed in your computer, simply add files to Drobbox folder which will automatically sync files.

How to install Dropbox application?


  1. To install Dropbox application you need to download Dropbox application to your computer.
  2. When your installation is going on you will be prompted to enter sign in details to create a new account.
  3. Once Dropbox is installed in your computer, it creates a Dropbox folder in the hard drive. Add files to Drop box folder to sync it with other computers using Dropbox.
  4. You need to login with same user name and password to access the sync file in other computers.


How to add files to your Dropbox folder


It's easy to add files to your Dropbox folder. You just need to drag the file you want to add into Dropbox folder. It will be sync automatically online and with other computers on network.

How to Add files in Drop box folder using Windows, Mac OS and Linux

How to add files to your Dropbox with Web


  1. To add files through the web, you need to sign in your Dropbox account.
  2. Click upload button on top of the window to upload the file.
