Operating Frequency


HTC One SV supports GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 in GSM range and HSDPA 900, HSDPA 1900, HSDPA 2100 in European countries and HSDPA 850, HSDPA 900, HSDPA 1900, HSDPA 2100 in Asian countries. It also supports 4G networks like LTE 800, LTE 1800 and LTE 2600 in European countries and LTE 1800, LTE 2600 in Asian countries. It also supports Micro-SIM cards

HTC Desire SV supports GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 in 2G networks and HSDPA 900, HSDPA 2100 in 3G networks and supports Micro-SIM cards.

In my opinion, HTC One SV is a better choice in terms of operating frequency. HTC One SV supports GSM, EDGE, 3G and 4G networks while HTC Desire SV supports 2G and 3G networks only. It also supports HSDPA 900 and HSDPA 2100 only in 3G networks but it has Dual SIM cards facility. These are the main difference between them. Desire SV vs One SV

Dimensions and Display features


HTC One SV is about 128 mm tall, 66.9 mm wide,9.2 mm thick weighs about only 122 grams with touch sensitive controls. Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen is used for better touch experience with 16 million colors. It has the resolution of 480x800 pixels and has also got a 4.3 inch touch screen with 217 ppi pixels density. Multi-touch facility and HTC Sense UI are also available. It has got Corning Gorilla Glass 2 to protect the display screen from scratches.

HTC Desire SV is about 129.7 mm tall,about 67.9 mm wide,about 10.7 mm thick and about weighs only 131 grams with touch sensitive controls. Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen is used for better touch experience with 16 million colors. IT has the resolution of 480x800 pixels and a 4.3 inch touch screen with 217 ppi pixels density.It has also got Multi touch facility and HTC Sense UI.

In my experience, HTC One SV is smaller and lighter than HTC Desire SV. The touch screens of both the phones have same resolution. Another difference is that HTC Desire SV does not have screen protection while HTC One SV has it.

Connectivity and sound features


HTC One SV hsa single SIM facility. It also has WLAN, Bluetooth with version 4.0, 'Near Field Communication' and micro-USB version 2.0 facilities. It supports loud speaker, 3.5 mm audio jack and Beats Audio sound enhancement facility.

HTC Desire SV has dual SIM facility. It also has WLAN, Bluetooth with version 4.0 and micro-USB version 2.0 facilities. It supports loud speaker, 3.5 mm audio jack and Beats Audio sound enhancement facility.
In my opinion, except SIM facility, more features are available in HTC One SV.The 'Near Field Communication' facility is not available in HTC Desire SV but it has dual SIM cards facility. So, we can operate dual SIM cards simultaneously.

Memory and Processor features


HTC One SV has an internal memory of 8 GB and 1 GB RAM which is enough for storing and processing data.It also has a memory card slot which supports up to 32 GB micro-SD memory cards. Android Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0.4 Operating System is used as its software interface. Dual-core 1.2 GHz processor is used for better processing performance.It also has GPU facility and Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 has been used as its chipset.

HTC Desire SV has an internal memory 4 GB and 768 MB RAM. It is enough for storing but not enough for processing data.It also has a memory card slot which supports up to 32 GB micro-SD memory cards. Android Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0.4 Operating System is used as its software interface. Dual- core 1 GHz Cortex-A5 processor is used for better processing performance. It also has Adreno 203 GPU facility and Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon is used as its chipset.

In my opinion, HTC One SV is a better choice. It has double internal memory than the Desire SV and more RAM and processing power. The chipset of Desire SV is better than that of One SV.The Operating systems are same in both the devices. So, both phones support most of the applications. External memory supports for both phones are same.

Camera and Video features


HTC One SV has a 5 Mega Pixel primary camera on the rear side of the phone and a 1.6 Mega pixel secondary camera on the front side of the phone with auto focus and LED flash facilities. Other special features are Geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection facilities which make better camera options. It has a 1080p@30fps primary video camera on the rear side and a 720p@30fps secondary video camera on the front side of the phone with video stabilization feature. Hence, it can support video calling features through secondary video camera.
HTC Desire SV has an 8 Mega Pixel primary camera on the rear side of the phone and no secondary camera on the front side of the phone with auto focus and LED flash facilities. Other special features are Geo-tagging and touch focus facilities which make better camera options. It has a 480p@30fps primary camera on the rear side and no secondary video camera on the front side of the phone. So, it cannot supports video calling features through secondary video camera.

In my opinion, camera and video recording are the important features of smart phones. From the above specification, we cannot say that which one is better. One SV has the 5 Mega Pixel camera and Desire SV has the 8 Mega Pixel camera. So, 8 MP is a better choice but Desire SV has no secondary camera.Even if we choose video recording the point is changing to One SV. It has better video recording facility with dual camera. Desire SV has only one camera. So, choice is yours.

It has HTML5 web browser for better browsing experience and and also has TBD radio facility. It has GPS device with A-GPS support and GLONASS and Java support through Java MIDP emulator. It is available in Black and White colors. It also has SNS integration facility with 25 GB Dropbox cloud storage facility. It has a Standard battery, Li-Ion 1800 mAh for better battery backup.

In my opinion, HTC One SV has an extra compass sensor and better battery. So, One SV can provide a longer battery backup in single charge. If we look for color,the Desire SV has got an upper hand. It has beautiful colors compared to One SV. Other features are same in both devices.

Price in India


The price of HTC One SV is predicted to be 440 EUR and about RS.30,660 in India while the price of HTC Desire SV is predicted to be 330 EUR and about RS.22,990 in India.So, price is a big difference in both devices.

Verdict


According to the features and specifications, choice is now yours. You can choose any phone by price. If you want better primary camera, choose Desire SV. If you want better video recording, internal memory, RAM and screen protection, choose One SV.
