Naval War: Arctic Circle is a 2012 video game developed by Turbo Tape Games and published by Paradox Interactive for Windows platform. The game was released on 10 April, 2012 worldwide. It is a real time strategy game based on naval wars and battles.

    Naval War: Arctic Circle is developed by Turbo Tape Games. In 2011 Paradox Interactive Convection, the company announced the game. The developing team of the game intracted and consulted with Royal Norwegian Navy throughout the development period to develop a realistic game. The map used in the game is almost similar to the real world map of North Atlantic Ocean covering an area of about 35 million square kilometres.

    Gameplay and Storyline of the game


    The storyline of the game is like this - 'Due to the melting of ice at Arctic Circle in 2030, the world super powers NATO and Russia are keen to exploit the resources at the continent. So, a war between these two will decide who is going to do so. This sets a naval battle between two.'

    The gameplay of the game as obvious is based on the naval war between NATO and Russia. Players can choose either side from the two in single player mode. They have to make war strategies to defeat their enemy. Players are provided with all kind of modern weapons used in naval battles. The game is a real time game, so it runs at real-time speed. The players can use time bar to speed up the game. In multiplayer mode, upto two players can participate in this strategy based game with the help of LAN and Internet.

    The game is not a kind of game which can lure the gamers interested in hardcore action and arcade game. It is a real time strategy based game, infact naval war strategy game. It will be a treat for the gamers who loves this kind of games. The gameplay is a little tough for new gamers. The use of 2D and 3D graphics in the game are quite good and appropriate but not amazing. The users don't needs a high configuration for running the game on their system.
