British video game developer Codemasters have launched their new game in Formula One game series - F1 2012, the fourth game of the series. The game is published by Codemasters and is a sports racing game. The game is released for various platforms namely Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 (PS3), Xbox 360, and iOS (iPhone Operating System). Following are the release dates of F1 2012 video game in different parts of the world:

    Gameplay of the game


    Gameplay of F1 2012 is similar to the earlier versions of the game. The players have to compete in various races on different circuits. Players can choose to play any Game Mode from different modes available in the game. Few new game modes are added in F1 2012 which were not in the earlier games in the series. There is a mode added in the game with name 'Young Driver Test' mode, in which players can train themselves about how to handle the Formula One race cars. Two more game modes are added. They are 'Champions Mode' and 'Season Challenge' mode. In Champions mode, the player participates with six world champion drivers in different venue of races. And in Season Challenge mode, the player compete in a season of ten races, which decides his/her promotion to better teams which is in lower ranked teams at the start of the season.

    F1 2012 is one of the top rated sports based video game this year. The addition of new modes in the game has been praised and at the same time the removal of some features and modes from the previous games of the series may also be unpleasant for some users.

    The critics are also positive about the fourth game of the Formula One series. They praised the gameplay mechanic of the game. Its Metacritic score is 80 out of 100.
