Latest version of the Microsoft Windows OS is used. The phone supports the Windows 8 OS. A new multimedia technology is used here, so the application works more faster and easier. The phone comes with preloaded necessary applications.

Comparative analysis


As we go through the complete features of the two phones Samsung Ativ S and Nokia Lumia 820, we cannot identify the exact difference. Both phones have almost similar features, but there are a few differences between them. But this slight difference can also change the whole thing. Both the phone uses Windows 8 OS to operate and both phone's camera functions at 8MP, but the Nokia Lumia 820 have dual LED flashlight and it also uses Carl Zeiss Tessar lens for capturing high quality images. So in the case of camera features Nokia Lumia 820 is better than Samsung Ativ S. Now we can take the case of processing speed and the memory capacity. In both phones same Processor, Chipset and GPU are used, i.e, (CPU) Dual-core Krait 1.5, (Chipset) Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon and (GPU) Adreno 225. When we consider the memory capacity of the two phones, Samsung Ativ S has more internal storage than that of Nokia Lumia 820. Samsung Ativ S contains 16/32GB in-built memory, but Nokia Lumia 820 contains only 8GB. According to this fact, we can say Samsung Ativ S can be operated much faster than Nokia Lumia 820. Samsung Ativ S doesn't supports 4G technology, but Lumia 820 supports 4G, this is a plus point for Nokia Lumia. Other than this feature Lumia has more additional features. One of them is the wireless charging facility. Lumia 820 supports Wireless charging feature, where as Samsung has never introduced that feature into the market. Considering the overall features of the two phones, we can conclude that the Nokia Lumia 820 is better than the Samsung Ativ S, only because of some additional features in Lumia 820.
