More than hundreds Microsoft support staff were busy helping developers answering their questions, solving technical problems and guiding them with coding tips.

Developers will stay overnight and continue coding until tomorrow morning. The convention center is equipped with all facilities to help developers with any technical and non technical problems. The Apps Festival Anthem and the slogan "Eat.. Drink.. Code..", combined with various stage shows keep the developers active throughout the day and night and creates a festive mood. To make the slogan literally true, Microsoft is providing a lot of FOOD and DRINKS and developers are writing thousands of lines of CODE. It is almost midnight and I still see a lot of excitement among the App developers. While late night work is no surprise for Indian IT professionals, working with thousands of developers under one roof is definitely something new for everyone.

Microsoft support team is everywhere running from desk to desk offering help to developers.

Windows 8 AppFest expected to set Guinness World Record

Representatives from Guinness World Records is already present in the convention center since this coding hackathon is expected to set a Guinness World Record where the largest number of developers assemble in a single place for more than 12 hours. The Guinness World Record team will be closely monitoring the coding marathon through out the 18 hours period and will be interviewing several developers randomly to make sure the event qualifies for the Guinness Record.

Only the developers who attend the full period will be counted for the purpose of Guinness record. App developers are allowed to go out of the convention center for a maximum period of 1 hour and if they exceed this limit, they will not be included in the total count. The announcement will be made tomorrow at the AppFest closing ceremony. Stay tuned for latest updates from the Windows 8 Apps Festival by Microsoft.
