If you recently purchased a Windows 7 laptop or desktop, most probably you would have received Microsoft Office 2010 included in it.
In this article, I am going to discuss some of the commonly reported problems of Microsoft Office Starter 2010.
How can I use "fit to one page" option in Office 2010 Starter?
The full suite of Word 2010 has a command called "Shrink One Page" which can be used to shrink the page into a single page if it slightly exceeds the page. This is a great option to avoid wasting a paper when you have a few words or lines exceeding a page. Unfortunately, this option is not enabled by default in MS Word. You have to customize your toolbar to get access to this hidden command. Since Office Starter 2010 does not allow you to customize the toolbar, there is no option to use this option in your Starter edition, which is
one of the limitations of Office Starter 2010
. Your best bet is to manually arrange elements of your page to fit them in a page. You can do things like reducing margin, reducing font size, removing some unwanted content, adjust line spacing, adjust paragraph spacing etc.
