Following few steps are the important steps in this guide for you to perform a clean install of the new OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion on to your Mac Device. Download OS X Mountain Lion 10.8


Step 1: Go to the App store and download the OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.
Step 2: Now once the download is completed, go to applications>> directory and select the "Show Package contents" option, which pops out while right clicking on "Install Mac OS X Mountain Lion.app".
Step 3: Now you have to go to the directory, Contents>> SharedSupport and find a file named as "InstallESD.dmg".
Step 4: Finally mount the "InstallESD.dmg" file onto your Mac Desktop by double clicking it.

Clean Install OS X Mountain Lion 10.8


Step 1: The first and the most important thing for you is to have your own original copy of the new OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. You can get the original copy of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion from Mac App Store for just 19.9$. And downloading tutorial are being explained on the above steps.

Step 2: Once you had purchased the OS X Mountain Lion 10.8, you will then have to create a bootable drive for installing Mountain Lion 10.8 onto your Mac device. The process for making bootable USB drive can be manually done without any difficult. Another option in front of you is to make a bootable drive using the Lion Disk Maker tool.

Step 3: Now connect the newly created boot installer to your system and reboot it while holding down the option key.

Step 4: While on the startup, from the boot menu, you will have to choose "Mac OS X installer".

Step 5: Now on the next screen, choose the option "Disk Utility" and once you are inside, select your system hard drive where you wish to install OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 . Now format the selected disk drive by clicking over "Format" menu and finally select "Mac OS Extended(journaled)".

Step 6: Next step is to click the "Erase" button in order to format your drive. Wait for few minutes to complete the formatting process.
Step 7: Upon completion of formatting your drive, go out from Disk Utility and click over "Install Mac OS X" button from the available menu.

Step 8: Finally choose your newly formatted drive, in order to start your installation process.

Upon the reboot of your Mac device, you will be having a complete installation of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8. Congratulations, now you can import your files and other important data, that you have created a backup earlier or you can also just copy the backup files manually.
