Backing Up Your iPad

•Synced items such as music and videos from your iTunes library
•Data such as contacts and datebooks from your computer
Note: Apps from the App Store-included in the first backup after the apps are downloaded. Succeeding backups include just the app data.
If you have some sensitive materials and do not want any other person to take your backup you encrypt (Password Protected) your backup.To encrypt iPad backups do the following:
1.Connect iPad to your PC.
2.In iTunes, select iPad on the left.
3.In the Summary pane, select "Encrypt backups".
4.Type a password, then click "Set Password".
Now when you restore this backup, you will have to re-enter the password. Encoded(Password protected) backups are shown with a lock image in the list of.

Removing a Backup


If you don't need backup, just follow:
1.In iTunes, open iTunes Preferences. If you are a Mac user choose iTunes > Preferences and if Windows users choose Edit > Preferences.
2.Click on Devices.
3.Tick on the backup to be removed, then click "Delete Backup".
4.In the end Click OK.

Restoring Your iPad From Backup


Now that you have backed up your iPad, you can restore it if you like to. This will bring back your settings, app data and other information back. Restoring from backup does not mean that the iOS will be fully restored. So,if you want to entirely start from scratch you need to first restore iPad from the Summary pane and then restore the backup.
1.Connect iPad to the computer with the backup stored on it.
2.In iTunes,click iPad in the sidebar, then choose "Restore from Backup" from the menu that appears.
3.Choose the multiple backups if you have,then click Restore.
Your iPad will now be restored with all of the previous app data, and settings. Now sync with iTunes once again to bring back any residual apps or other settings.
