Microsoft confirmed the official release of Windows 8 on October 26, 2012. And the OS X is expected to hit the Market in July-August period of 2012. As part of the competition, both the company have managed to provide maximum features that they can give through the OS.

And now, through this article we are going for a comparision between the master pieces of the mighty ones in the Computer OS field. We will cove the major features that each one offers and will make the ultimate dicision. This may result in so many similarities and dissimilarities at the same time, but the thing is that every one is much interested to know which one will beat the other. And this will be perfect for ones who not yet decided between Windows 8 and Mac OSX Mountain Lion.

Apart from the traditional features like start menu, task bar and Windows explorer, the new Windows 8 comes with a new Start Screen and in here the icons are in form of rectangles and squares. There are the new 'Live Tiles'. As the name says, these are actually live tiles which allows the user to know the notification of message or whatever the app is related with, can be seen in the tile itself and the user don't have to open the app. The information will be displayed on the tile as a slideshow. The Windows 8 is made more colourful and pleasent by providing the Metro Style UI, which is not yet seen in any other windows versions.

In the case of the looks of the Mac OSX Mountain Lion, the first view offers a typical and usual desktop. And the thing is that it resembles its precessor Lion, by providing the traditional Mac Look. And it is clear that the Apple has a cold approach in case of the looks. Here in OSX, we can see a case of approximation to the Live Tiles in Windows 8 and is called LaunchPad. And the apps are arranged like the grid in iPad and the apps are condensed to icons. On comparing the both in case of the looks, we can say Windows 8 stays a step ahead due to their cool LiveTile feature. Windows 8 also offers a colourful and pleasent UI, which is the Metro Style UI. And it seems as if Apple does not care about the looks of its OS interface.

At the same time, Microsoft syncs the datas through SkyDrive. It allows the user to acces the apps probably anywhere and companu claims that the SkrDrive will be the most powerful personal cloud storage available. It follws a flexible approach that the user can get additional paid storage and can grow it as the user wants.

Apple has just followed the same appearence of the filemanaging system from its precessor OSX Lion. And in here, the Finder app is provided for excellent file searching and customisation. And it automatically sorts out the results of the search according to its name, type, creation date etc. And while talking about the touch interference of the Mac OSX Mount. Lion, its clear that they are not much interested in touchscreen PCs. But the Apple scores some by providing the built-in Track-Pad in Mac Books. The Magic Track Pad is also available for performing some useful gestures, which is an optional accessory. And while taking the track pad, even if it makes some difficulties for the first tmers, it gets the job done easily.

In Windows 8, the user don't want to look for dedicatd apps for file searching and customisation. And for that, just simply start typing on the screen from the StartScreen. And quickly the search results will come from the right of the screen. Its file search capability has upgraded to maximum and even shows results from Facebook and Twitter. While considering the Touch UI, it is clesr that the Windows 8 is so smartly designed foe both touch and normal use. The LiveTile will act as a perfect platform foe the TouchUI. It's onscreen keyboard is designed to be more finger friendly and responses are made even faster. It is facilitated with gesture recognition and also has palm rejection features.

Windows 8 comes with another cool feature which is called Windows TO GO option. This can be stated as the feature that is everyone is waiting for. It really functions as a back up that it enables the user to copy all the system settings including documents, notes, apps even wallpapers direclty into a Flash Drive. And the user's PC settings can be easily retrived, just by plugging it into a Windows 8 loaded system and by this feature even the Start Screen remains the same as the User's. And the company reminds that, while performing this fearure, user may not be able to perform Hibernate option.
A cool feature is also available in Mac OSX Mount. Lion that can compete with the Windows To Go function in Windows 8. And it is called Power Nap. It is a cool feature that will surely draw many people towards the Mount. Lion. This feature automatically updates the user's documents and integrated apps and is able to make back-ups completly remaining oggline. That is, during this process neither the CPU wakes up nor the CPU fans. Its a complete silent process, that wont't wake up the User too.

And it is clear that Windows has made its stand by making the overall look of the OS more adorable and also they are expanding the OS from PCs to Tablets and Phones, which will surely help in its growth. At the same time, we can see that Apple has not done much works in the new OS that is to compete with the new Windows 8, but there will be more expected users for the MAc OS because of the company's reputation and its previous versions. And we can say that Microsoft has done the job well than the Apple did in making the OSX. But the ultimate dicision is made by the people all over the world, and can only declare a winner after its official release. And the sure thing is that this will be a major turning point in the history of Computer OS.
