System Requirements and Cloud Computing feature of Windows 8

In this article, I have discussed about the system requirements of Windows 8, the upcoming operating system by Microsoft which was released in October, 2012. Here, I have also talked about Cloud Computing Feature which is one of the additional and best features added in Windows 8 to meet the needs of users.

As we all have witnessed the debate created by Windows 8 over the past few months, we can say that it's not going to be a dud. There will be users all round the world waiting for its official release. Microsoft has managed to keep all eyes in the tech-world to concentrate on the news of Windows 8 and they have been successful.

After the release of different Preview Version of Windows 8 at different times, we came to know about the new Metro-style user interface, its compatibility with the tablets and some of the rumors helped Windows 8 to enjoy the limelight in the tech world. The mixed reviews, appraisals or criticism, have only added the fuel in it. With the release of different Preview versions of Windows 8, we are seeing some changes and some problem fixes in the latest versions that were reported by the users worldwide.

Whatever it may be, we cannot deny the fact that the features Windows 8 has are simply superb.

It has been confirmed that Windows 8 will be connected with Microsoft's SkyDrive which will allow users to access their digitally stored data via Windows 8 on thier computers, laptops or mobile devices.

SkyDrive has many active customers who stores photos and other data on this cloud storage service. Currently, there are about 10 petabytes of user data stored (One petabyte = One million gigabytes). We will get to use this service easily as it is integrated into Windows 8 very well.

Windows 8 Minimum System Requirements :

It is reported that Windows 8 is expected to have the same system requirements as its predecessor, Windows 7 had. It will run perfectly on existing machines that run Windows 7. Here are some of the minimum system requirements to run Windows 8.

Processor : 1 GHz or faster, 32-bit or 64-bit processor
Ram : 1 GB (32-bit) and 2 GB (64-bit)
HD Space : 16 GB for 32-bit versions and 20 GB for 64-bit versions

Is Windows 8 bringing Kinect to laptops?

Microsoft has expressed thoughts of building Kinect sensors into laptops and the prototypes of the same has already been released. This news has been confirmed officially. The sensors according to the official news, are to be placed where the webcam is currently placed and there could be an LED at the bottom of the screen.

If Microsoft manages to bring the price of the Sensors down, then it might even become a standard feature in the upcoming laptops.
