iPad is an awesome tablet capturing the attention of various users. But what is most shocking is the rumours about iPad mini which seems to attract double the users. Maybe it’s the price, maybe the inquisitiveness for how so many features will be embedded in a mini tablet. Whatever it is the Mini iPad has lots of its users to give an ear to. The article will cover the major rumours about the iPad Mini in the year 2012 till date.

Tablets are gaining demand in the present scenario- Apple inevitably leading the tablet market. The various updates about tablet with its features, specifications price and release date are the tools for the tech quenchers of tech updates. Anything or any update pertaining to Apple and yes there are loads googling out details about it. The iPad mini is also in the league of rumours captivating the users. For various reasons the Apple Mini is in rumour and because of the unsure release dates and specifications it is becoming all the more mysterious. Let's explore some of the rumours about the launch of iPad Mini.

Rumours in February 2012.

It all started in the month of February,2012 when news spread that Apple was approaching component suppliers to build an 8(eight) inch range screen for IPAD which was roughly two inches less than IPAD or IPAD 2. This was claimed to be the start of building of the so called Apple iPad mini tablet. Following it some weeks ahead a new update from TrendForce a Tapei based market research firm claimed that the mini tablets were in the testing stage and no concrete fact could be given about the duration for which the tests would continue. The Apple Mini tablet was supposed to be launched by the end of 2012.

Rumours in March, 2012.

Apple is rumoured to release a 7.85inch display mini iPad by the end of the year 2012 in response to the Amazon 7 inch Kindle Fire tablet. Further the 7.85 inch screen was also cut short to 7.1 inch within a week of its rumour at the same time when Apple announced the launch of iPad 3. In the next week an update was in vogue that Apple is working with its suppliers to build a 5 inch panel the Retina display screen for a new launch rumoured the Apple Mini iPad. This was a wave creating rumour as the screen size would be reduced by over three inches from that which was rumoured in the beginning.

Rumours in April, 2012.

In April the news about Mini iPad got new information in its bag. The Mini iPad is in the testing lab which will be a 7.85 inch screen with 1024 by 768 pixel screen. Supposedly, 6 million units of this Apple Mini iPad was in production and the price was estimated in the range of 249$ to 399$.

Rumours in May, 2012.

The latest update about Apple mini iPad is some specifications which have been leaked from so called reliable sources. The specifications are that iPad mini will come with an inbuilt storage of about 8 GB. It will be a 7 inch screen with 2048 by 1536 pixels display. Its price range would be around 200dollars to about 250 dollars. When a poll was generated two out of three users polled that they would love to buy iPad Mini in this price range. There was another small piece of information leaked that probably the mini iPad will be in the category of iPod Touch and maybe released by the October end this year.

With so many rumours clubbing the news and updates, nothing can be said for sure. However it is evident that Apple is definitely taking steps towards iPad Mini. Though the specifications and features are still not clear but no doubt there are lots of users awaiting its launch with much anticipation.
