BlackBerry Curve 9220 Smartphone launched in India

BlackBerry Curve 9220 Smartphone launched in India BlackBerry-maker Research in Motion(RIM) launched new BlackBerry Curve 9220 Smartphone in India for the 1st time on 18th April 2012, priced at Rs. 10,990. Currently the RIM's the Curve 8520 smart phone is the best selling Smartphone in the world's Smartphone market. But RIM did not launch any of its Smartphone in India and hence had a very weak market in Indian Smartphone market. But now RIM is strengthening its root by releasing an affordable Smartphone exclusively for young generation of India. The very young Indian Smartphone market expects and loves the social-centric services and features more. As per this expectation, the RIM has designed the BlackBerry curve 9220 and launched in India to strengthen its position in the young Indian Smartphone market.
The Technical Specifications and Application features of BlackBerry Curve 9220 Smartphone
 The BlackBerry Curve 9220 Smartphone runs on BlackBerry 7.1 OS, supporting the unique and general BlackBerry services. A dedicated BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) key helps the BlackBerry Curve 9220 user to stay socially connected through the RIM's fashionable mobile social network. The user can also voice-activated universal search with Bing Auto Suggest in the BlackBerry Browser to find what you're looking for hands-free. The keypad is of QWERTY type. A 2.4 inch display of the BlackBerry Curve 9220 has got 320 x 240 pixel resolution (~164 ppi pixel density) and touch-sensitive optical track pad. The BlackBerry Curve 9220 weighs up to 102g with physical dimension of 109 x 60 x 12.7 mm. The sound alert types are Vibration; Polyphonic(64), MP3 ringtones. The internal memory capacities are 512 MB ROM, 512 MB RAM. In addition microSD slot is available for expansion of memory up to 32GB. The Bluetooth (v2.1 with A2DP) and USB (microUSB v2.0) characteristics are available for effective data transfer with other devices; in addition to Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The battery provides 7 hours of talk time or 28 hours of music playback with 18 days of standby. The BlackBerry Application World provides Rs. 2500 worth downloadable applications as free, till June 30, 2012. The major applications are Pencil Camera, Photo Studio Pro, Horoscope Oracle - Follow Your Lucky Stars, Drive Safely Pro and Ultimate Cricket. MP3/eAAC+/WMA/WAV/FLAC player, MP4/H.263/H.264 player, Organizer, Document viewer, Voice memo/dial, Predictive text input are the general applications available on BlackBerry Curve 9220 Smartphone.
