How to increase the speed of computer?

This resource deals with the tips and ways to improve the speed of your computer. These tips includes defragmentation, registry clean up utility, use of antivirus with latest updates, use of default themes, removing temporary files and many more.
Need for speed for Computer use:
Everyone nowadays are using PC for their need but no one is ready to wait due to lower speed of computer. Everybody wants his/her work to be done faster. Normally PC are available with high configuration to give you higher speed of computation but if you do not maintain the good health of PC, ultimately by the passage of time, speed of your high configured PC will be down. So, use of following tips and ways will help to maintain the good health as well as increase the speed of your computer.
Tips to increase speed of the computer:
Use following tips/ways which help you to increase the speed of the computer you are using.
Remove Temporary files:
Delete
temporary files
from your computer because these will share memory of your hard disk. Temporary files are those created during surfing the internet, using any software on PC. You can delete the temporary files by going to temporary folder by writing
%temp%
Command in
Run menu
. Once you are in temp folder, delete all the files there. These will increase some memory already used by temporary files. You can use CCleaner or glary utility software to do this.
Use Disk Defragmentation:
Use system tool named
'Disk Defragmentation'
. This is the process of allocating files and folder to arranged manner so computer can allocate future space in disk to files that will be written later. By defragmentation you can optimize searching speed when you look for any file. Disk defragmentation will eventually increase the life of your computer's harddisk by managing efficiently data and its handling.
Clean Start up programs:
During start-up, if you computer become slow, un-tick all the start up software during boot up by using
MSCONFIG
command which can be executed from
Run
. Un-tick all the soft-wares which require start up memory.
Keep PC Desktop clean:
Always use Desktop with less number of icons/items on it. These will save
loading time
during start up of PC during
booting
. This is one of the most frustrating moment for any person to wait for complete desktop to load due to heavy and large number of icons in the desktop. Clean it to load quickly.
Free up hard disk space up-to 15%:
Always use hard disk with at least
15% free space
in all partition. Because this amount is needed for defragmentation and accessing work during process of any program. Use
disk cleanup program
of windows to clean unnecessary files and folders.
Use Registry Cleaner:
Always use
registry cleaner
software to remove unnecessary and old registry of your computer operating system. Registry cleaner helps you manage and maintain your computer task.
Use default Theme:
Always have a habit of using
default theme
come with your PC because changing themes which are so attractive will increase memory and RAM usage. This ultimately lower the speed of the computer when it was essentially needed to use at increased speed.
Use of updated Anti-virus software:
Always use
antivirus software
with latest update to remove and spy ware/malware/trogen horse and dangerous virus. Some virus lowers down the speed of the computer by using computer memory resources. Always scan complete system once a week to remove unnecessary threats.
Use of increase RAM size and latest processor:
Computer speed mostly depends on RAM size and processor speed. If possible use latest processor and have RAM size compatible with it.

This is one of the most usefull article for me.
As i use desktop computer and it becomes slow after 3weeks or four weeks.
I use to format my desktop. bUt without format aslo i can increase speed you have shown here.
I will follw all your steps to increas my desktop speed.
