AT&T is currently offering wireless savings and discounts for employees of eligible companies, students of recognized institutes and military people. If you are buying an AT&T iPad with a wireless data plan, you can avail these discounts.
How to check if your organization is eligible for a discount?
Here are the steps to find out the discount offers for iPad:
Visit the iPad page in AT&T website
Look for the label Employee, student, and military wireless service discounts. Click on the button Check Eligibility below the label.
Provide the email address of your organization/school to check the eligibility
AT&T has some partnership arrangement with hundreds of companies, schools and organizations in USA and offer a discount to the members/employees/students of those organizations. If you are part of more than one organizations, you may try all of the organizations and check if you are eligible discount as part of any of the organizations.
How can I get a discount if my organization is eligible but I don't have an email address from the organization?
AT&T does not accept email ids from free email services like Yahoo, Hotmail etc. You can use only the official mail addresses from the partnering organizations.
If you don't have an email id from your organization,you may first check the availability of iPad discount by providing any random, virtual email ids with the domain name of your organizations website.
For example, if you work for a company called SpiderWorks and it has a website called SpiderWorksInc.com, then try with a random email id like discounts@SpiderWorksInc.com. If the results comes back saying your organization is eligible for the discount, discuss with the authorities in your organization and check if they can give you a temporary email address. Another option is, discuss with another person who has a valid email id in your organization and see if he/she can receive a discount verification email from AT&T and give you the details.
AT&T will send a link by email which you need to click and complete the sign up process to get the discount for the new iPad. After you check your discount eligibility by providing your email address, AT&T will send a link. To get the wireless discounts, follow the instructions in the email. If you don't see the email after few minutes, remember to check the junk/spam mail folder as well.
