Indian Railways to give free WiFi service in Bangalore
Good news for Railway passengers. Indian Railways has launched a new WiFi service called as BluFi service at Bangalore Railway Station. Bangalore division of Indian Railways has introduced this new service with collaboration with RailTel and Telibrahma. BluFi is nothing but a combination of blue tooth application and WiFi connectivity.
With this new service, passengers will be able to download videos, games, wall papers and they can also get Railway information simply by switching on blue tooth in their mobile phones at Bangalore Railway station.
RailTel is also providing free WiFi connectivity as a part of their RailWire broadband initiative. RailWire is a broadband initiative by RailTel to provide high quality internet connectivity to the people. Now Railwire is providing free WiFi connectivity in Bangalore City Railway Station. S.Mani, Divisional Railway Manager, South West Railways said that this is the first time in India.
Passengers have to send a request for internet access by sending their mobile number through the Wi-Fi registration portal. The passwords will be sent to their mobiles through SMS. A passenger can use the internet service for 45 minutes and if he wants to continue he has to start a fresh session.
