how do I repair if my updates are up to date
my windows xp sp3 windows update no update available, I tried three times to install the most always the same error, "SETUP ...... MIGRATION DATA ERROR" and back with my old system .. the setup program asks if I want to upgrade the system, say yes, and wait "a long time for signal" and nothing at the end of the installation with the black screen "preparing 40%" that this error happens, almost to installing w7 and then install this version of the test to see if it solves w8 ..
if anyone has any idea, and can help me accomplish this installation thank you, now.

thank you
