Windows 8 wireless network connectivity
Internet access through Windows 8 operating system can be achieved either through Wireless network connectivity or through wire oriented network. At this time, I do not think laptop or tablet customers will use Wire-oriented network. Most customers are going with Wireless connectivity either through Wi-Fi or through USB Modem. If we see device users of 2011 and 2012 then we are noticing change in scope of devices such that customers are switching their desktops with laptops, Ultrabooks and tablets. But First, I want to clear that Windows 8 developer preview is on trial basis and available especially for developers. Some customers complained at Microsoft forum that Windows 8 wireless connectivity stop sometimes and process cannot load wireless network unless and until PC restart takes place. Some others Windows 8 customers are not able to develop initial wireless network connectivity. Sometimes, situation may occur in which high channel traffic resist wireless connectivity. I think the problem might be with wireless network drivers or with wireless network adapter. Follow the instructions given below-
How to resolve Windows 8 wireless network connectivity problems?
You need to click on "Start button" and after that type device manager in the start search and then expand the network adapters in device manager and then right click on network adapter and click on Properties. In properties window click on driver tab and after that click on Update Drivers and finally click on OK.
If you still having connectivity problem in Windows 8 then you need to reinstall Windows 8 wireless drivers and card adapters. You need to install latest drivers from manufacturer's website and then verify the driver's status.

|DID NOT HELP ME - my drivers are already up to date,. Win 7 works but Win 8 won't attach to WPA2-PSK WLAN on Cisco WLC and AP's. It is not the wireless infrastructure. Of course everything Apple just plain works,. Win 7 is a pain but works,. Win 8 doesn't on pretty much any hardware driver combo we try.|

|I was having constant dropouts on my Sony Vaio Duo Win8 Pro machine plus the signal strength indicator was up and down.|
Then I noticed that if I viewed my connection properties and checked the box "Connect even if not broadcasting SSID". Since then zero dropouts and great signal strength!
I don't know why this worked but it did.
