A new software named 'Unfriend Finder' has come to alert the facebook users when a friend removes them from his friends list. It also alerts users when someone rejects a friend request. The free software has been downloaded 44 million times. Read more below.

Facebook, the largest social networking site has many functions. But they did not sport an option for a user to know whether any of his friends has deleted him from his friendlist. Although many apps came with a solution, none of them was much effective. Now, a new browser add-on has arrived with an answer to this. This app gives alert to the Facebook users when someone on their friends list 'unfriends' them. In addition to that, the app also informs the users when someone rejects their friend request.

The app is called Unfriend Finder. This is free for use and made a huge impact on the netizens across the globe such that it has already been downloaded over 44 million times.

The Unfriend Finder can be installed in most of the internet browsers. The software sports a red counter in their menu bar which will show '-1' icon at the instant someone unfriends the user. The '-1' icon is a variant of Facebook's symbol '+1' used for addition of friends.

As much as it has been welcomed, the app has also stared some users since many used to unfriend 'unwanted' friends and to break up some torn relations. According to the site of Unfriend Finder, 'Unfriends are people who were previously your friend but have either deactivated their account or have removed you from their friend list.

The application can be downloaded from the official website www.unfriendfinder.com and works in almost all of the browsers including Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer. There are a few Facebook apps which provides the option to find the people who unfriended the user. However, they are less usable due to high amount of spams. A few smartphone apps (eg: Android's Frienemy) also offer this option but less easy to use and costly as well.

Eventhough it has become a huge hit, the Unfriend Finder can be gone defunct anytime since it depends on the Facebook website code. If Facebook changes its code, the Unfriend Finder will be of no use.
