Asus Transformer Prime release is delayed to 2012

The people who are waiting for this, launch need to know that the Asus Transformer Prime has been delayed for the launch. The Asus has told the media that the Transformer Prime will be released only in 2012. Many people consider this Asus Transformer Prime to be an alternative and tough competitor for Apple's ipad as it looks similar to it. Actually, Asus said that the Transformer Prime will be launched by December 12th, as it would be Christmas Gift to all the people from Asus. It said that December 12th it will be available online and by December 19th it will be available in physical and retail stores. But now Asus told that the Transformer Prime will be delayed in its release and it will be launched in the year 2012. This delay in its launch is because of some Wi-Fi issues as the report says. So people you have to wait for its launch, the Transformer Prime from Asus the alternative for Apple's iPad till 2012.

Also it was reported that the device will be delayed unfortunately until next year in an article from Phandroid. Customers who have already pre-ordered this Asus Transformer Prime through online by a retailer called NCIX have now got mail about the order. The email was received by the people states that the launch will be delayed.

The email which came to people who ordered Transformer Prime stated that Asus Tablet Pc will be delayed in its release around the world and it is likely to be released in the year 2012. They also assured that it will not be launched before Christmas. They also notified that, this delay is due to some manufacturing issue as they felt that the Wi-Fi range is not up to their standards. Due to this, there is delay in their shipments of Asus Transformer Prime and also there is no ETA currently when the first batch will be available.

I guess this news will disappoint all the customers who were eagerly waiting for tis launch and buy the Asus Transformer Prime for Christmas. But anyway, you need to wait till 2012 for its release and your wait for this will be meaningful as you going to experience the device which is just the alternative for Apple's iPad. Also, Inquirer a retailer of UK has reported that consumers from UK can now pre-order the device. The Clove, the online retailer has told that the tablet PC is available with the stock expected in January.

The Tablet PC will be shipped along with the running Android Honeycomb but soon it will be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich. So after its launch on seeing its demand, the Asus will shift it to Ice Cream Sandwich but if there is much of delay in manufacturing Asus Transformer Prime, then it will be available straight out of the box.

Jerry Shen, Asus CEO said to the media that "Tegra 3 powered Transformer Prime is not going to be shipped with Ice Cream Sandwich." Earlier this Transformer Prime was made of Honeycomb. So now it will be designed with Ice Cream Sandwich along with the previous EeePad Transformer which will be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich. Jerry Shen, says that most of the other Android tabs can get Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of December 2011. He also told that Padfone will be released in February 2012 along EeePad Transformer. This EeePad Transformer with 7 inch will be priced at $299 only.

contacted asus today, 1/3/12, told expected ship date to retailers such as b. buy to be the first week of february, four more weeks with any luck.
