How to enable Timeline feature in Facebook

Read this article to know more about the latest Timeline feature which is going to be introduced by Facebook after few days. In this article, I am going to discuss the step by step procedure on how to activate the Timeline feature.

Yesterday Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, revealed some upcoming features which are going to be in Facebook within few weeks. In the f8 Developers conference, Mark presented a video in which the features of timeline are shown. Facebook conformed that, in the next coming weeks, everyone will get the new Timeline feature in their profiles.

As per Facebook, Timeline is like a story book of once life. In other words we can say, it is like a Scrapbook. The interface of Facebook is going to change. One can activate the new Timeline feature in their Facebook by creating a App(so called App). To enable the new Timeline feature in Facebook, follow the instructions mentioned below.

Steps to follow for enabling Timeline feature in Facebook

1) Login to your Facebook account.

2) After login, you have to enable developer mode. To enable developer mode, type "developer" in the Facebook search box and select the developer app.

3) Click on "Allow", and you will be in the "Developer" page.

4) On the right side of the App, click on "Create a New App".

5) Once you click on that, you will asked to enter "App Display Name" and "App Namespace". Enter any name you want in both the columns.

6) Click on I Agree button, enter the "Captcha" correctly.

7) At the left side of the page, Select "Open Graph".

8) After clicking on the "Open Graph", you will be asked to enter the "App Namespace". Enter any name again. Click ok.

9) Once you click ok button, you will see a open graph get started.

10) You can see two boxes, In the first box type "read" and in the second box type "book", and then click on "Get Started".

11) Then, simply click on the Save Change button till you find "Save and Finish".

12) Wait for 2-3 minutes.

13) Now, go to your Facebook homepage. you will see a notification to start "Timeline" and you will see an Date. From the specified date, your new Timeline will be visible to all.
