How to enable Hibernate in Windows 8 OS

In this resource, I am interested to describe the step by step procedure on how to enable "Hibernate" option in Windows 8 operating system. Follow the step by step procedure mentioned below to use the "Power Options" in Windows 8 operating system.

Steps to be followed to enable Hibernate in Windows 8 OS


1) If you are in the Metro screen of Windows 8, press "Windows+R" in your keyboard to bet "Run" dialog box.

2) In the run dialog box, type "powercfg.cpl" and press Enter.

3) Once you press the enter, you will be taken to the "Power Options" page.

4) In the power options page, on the left side, click on "Choose what the power button does".

5) Once you click on the button, you will be taken to "Power button Define Page".

6) Click on the "Change settings that are currently unavailable".

7) Once you click on that, under the "Power option settings", you can check the box, which shows "Show hibernate" and then save the changes made.

8) After saving the changes, you can now see "Hibernate" option under the "shutdown" button.
