How to install Windows 8 OS on Mac OS X Lion

Follow the below mentioned steps, to install Windows 8 OS on a Mac machine with the help of VMware Fusion.

1) First you should have "Windows 8 OS" iso image. If you don't have, follow the steps mentioned in the article, to Download Windows 8 OS.

2) After downloading Windows 8 OS iso image, we are using VMware Fusion virtual machine to install Windows 8 on a Mac OS.

3) If you don't have VMware Fusion, you can get it from the official VMware website. You should register first in the site.

4) The software which you downloaded will be valid for 30 days.

5) After downloading the VMware Fusion in your Mac OS, run the software.

6) Open the software, click on "New" and select "Continue without Disc".

7) Now, click on "chose a disc or disc image" option and select the Windows 8 iso image, which you already have.

8) Now, go to "Choose operating system" and select the operating system as "Windows 7". Since Windows 7 and Windows 8 have system requirements, we can select "Windows 7".

9) Now, click on the "Finish" button.

10) As soon as, you press the "Finish" button, installation of Windows 8 starts on your Mac Operating system.

11) In the first step of installation, you have to choose "Language, Time and Currency format, Keyboard or Input method".

12)After the step, type of installation screen will be displayed, you can select "Custom" and click on the next.

13) Wait for few minutes to complete the installation of Windows 8 OS.

14) You will be ask for personalize your settings. If you have internet connection and if you are having a Hotmail or Windows Live Id, sign in with the Live ID. Main use of signing in with the Live id is, all our Windows 8 personalization settings will be carried with us irrespective of the system we login.
