How to use Gmail without an Internet connection

Read this article to know more about how to use Google's Gmail, Calender, Doc's without an internet connection. In this article, I will explain how to use all the above App's when you don't have an internet connection.


Few months back, Google started its social networking site called Google Plus. Google+ is the biggest hit in social networking market. After few days of Google+ release, to improve the chat features in Google+, Google bought Fridge . Fridge is a group social networking site, which is used for group messaging.

Last month, Google bought Motorola Mobility . By acquiring one of the best Motorola's division, Google wants to bring the best hardware from Motorola for their Android operating system.

Recently, Google introduced an App for offline usage of Gmail, Google Calender and Google Docs. With this feature, users can access Gmail, Calender and Google Docs without an internet connection. Google Chrome users can get this app from the Chrome Web Store.

Offline Google Mail is the Chrome App which will be helpful to users when they want to read, respond, organize and archive email without an internet connection. Gmail Offline is a HTML5 powered app which is based on the Gmail web app for tablets. It was built to function with or without web access. Users can install this App from the Chrome App store. After installing the Gmail Offline App, when users lose their internet connection, by clicking on the Gmail Offline App, they can continue their work.

Apart accessing Gmail offline, with the new App's, one can easily access Google Calender and Google Docs. When users are offline in Google Calender, they can view events from their calenders and RSVP to their appointments. By using Google Doc's one can view their documents and spreadsheets when they don't have a internet connection. As per Google, "Offline editing isn't ready yet, but we know it's important to many of you, and we're working hard to make it a reality" .

To use the offline feature, users has to click on the gear icon which will be present at the top right corner of Google Doc's and select the option for offline access.
