Windows 8 discontinue DVD drive of Dolby Technologies

Read this article to know Windows 8 features. It is Dolby technology which produces DVD drive for Microsoft operating system but at post earning conference at Dolby laboratory, Dolby announced that it will not produce DVD drive for Windows 8 OS.

Microsoft is planning a lot to make Windows 8 OS a historical operating system by introducing new features in it which is different from existing operating systems such that it is expected to bring revolution in the field of Information Technology. During early builds of Windows 8 operating system, news comes from leaked resources which show that Dolby technologies will discontinue DVD drive for Windows 8 OS. It is due to this fact that Microsoft is looking to license required technology from another service provider. When discontinue news of Dolby heard then Dolby share fell 18 percent in a single day.

Microsoft Corporation announced that we are looking for official service provider for Dolby digital audio. When Dolby technologies making experiment in Dolby laboratories then during post earning conference call, Dolby officials revealed that it will discontinue its support to Windows 8 instead of the fact that majority of its licensing has always come from the Microsoft OS level.

Now the main question is how Microsoft supports DVD drive in Windows 8 OS?, Microsoft does not include Dolby technology support in forthcoming operating system, the company is fully dependent on third party vendors to develop new licensing agreements with PC and other equipped manufacturers. It becomes headache for Microsoft developers to hire some service provider for digital audio technology. Some people expected that Microsoft still joins their licensing agreement with Dolby technologies.
