There is a new shell in Microsoft Office 2010 and Microsoft Office 365 which helps define the 15 extensions for web interface of Windows 8 apps. Read this article to know about the HTML 5 technology used in Microsoft Office web version.
HTML 5 has replaced the Silverlight version for Windows 8 apps with a new ‘Modern Shell’. It launched Adobe HTML 5 author tool. The flash applications of HTML 5 allow more than 15 extensions for Microsoft Office package. You can experience web applications in Windows 8 apps suite by simply interfacing the new ‘Modern Shell‘. This acts as a system kernel and controls the functionality of Microsoft Office.
After the release of HTML 5, Microsoft is using HTML 5 support and other web standards to advance the web technology used in Windows 8 apps in Microsoft Office 2010 and Microsoft Office 365.
Adobe Flash Player is used for animations. After seeing an advertisement on career development at Microsoft, I came to know that Microsoft Office will support more than 15 extensions for web standards of Windows 8 apps. This removes the support of Visual Basic applications or Visual Studio tools for Office and acts as an extension mechanism for JavaScript.
