In this article, I am going to discuss about Mozilla Thunderbird 5.0 which is recently released from Mozilla corporation. It has been an updated version from the previous one and it has lot of new features. In this article, mainly discussed about the features of Mozilla Thunderbird 5.0

Features of Mozilla Thunderbird 5.0

Thunderbird is the free email application from Mozilla. It has been updated to version 5.0. New version has more stability, speed and features to users. These updated version includes some new features, updated components under the hood, and number of performance and stability improvements.

The updated version of Thunderbird has more than 390 improvements and performance enhancements which make Thunderbird more responsive, faster to start up and easier to use. Mozilla made several improvements to some favorite features of Thunderbird such as RSS feeds, Attachment management, and Tabs which can now be reordered and dragged into a new window.

Following are the changes in Thunderbird 5.0:

Faster to start up and use
It is based on the new Mozilla Gecko 5 engine
Add-ons Manager
New Troubleshooting Information page
Tabs can be reordered and dragged to different windows
Attachment sizes displayed along with attachments
Plugins can now be loaded in RSS feeds by default
several theme fixes for Windows Vista and Windows 7
