In this article, I am going to discuss about Google's latest release "Chrome 12". "Chrome" is one of best internet browsers which are available and it is one of the browser's which is used by maximum people in the world. Recently, Google released new updates for Chrome browser.

Two weeks back, Google officially released Chrome 12 which is a stable one. The new version of Chrome brings a number of security and functionality improvements when compared to older one. Some old bugs are also fixed in the release.

In the latest Chrome release, Google has extended it's malware detection functionality. When users try to download any malicious file which can cause harm to the computer, it will alerts the user.

From the past release, Google has been working with Adobe to improve Flash integration in Chrome. In Chrome 12, there is a user interface for managing Flash's local shared objects. User's can access it by right-clicking an embedded flash media element and selecting the global settings item from the context menu. If you want to edit, you can edit them. In the dialog box, you can delete flash cookies and configure the policy for accepting them.

One of the most significant additions in Chrome 12 is support for hardware-accelerated 3D CSS transforms. With the help of 3D CSS, users can define 3D effects on "DOM" elements. To see what this looks like in action, Google offers a link to a Chrome Experiment called “Shaun the Sheep.” This video demonstrates how 3D CSS, lets you rotate a video, scale it up and down, turn the reflection on and off and activate a rotating carousel of videos. In addition to 3D CSS Transforms, the experiment also takes advantage of hardware-accelerated HTML5 and the new audio-video format, WebM, open-sourced by Google last year.

Chrome Experiements

You can also launch Chrome Web apps by name within the Omnibox in Chrome 12. The settings pages have been updated, there is improved screen reader support and in the latest release in Chrome, they said farewell to Google Gears . The Gears plugin will no longer be supported in this version or any future releases of Google Chrome to provide offline access to Web applications.
