By following these procedure you can successfully connect to internet on Windows 7 operating system with your mobile phone.

In this article, I will explain how to connect internet through your mobile phone using Windows 7 operating system.

The procedure is same for all mobile devices to connect to internet, also same on all Windows operating system. Older versions of Windows will require an extra initialization command, which you can get from the Customer care of your operator.

First, you need a GPRS or 3G Mobile phone and you should be subscribed for a GPRS or 3G Internet connection from your Network provider.

If you are able to browse internet successfully in your mobile and you are conformed that you are able to browse all the sites in the mobile, follow the following procedure to connect to desktop or laptop.

1)Connect your mobile phone with USB-cable to the computer.
2)you will get two options mass storage and phone-mode, please select phone mode.
3)Now go to Control panel in Windows 7 operating system.
4)Select Network and Internet option.
5)Click on Network and sharing center.
6)Below you will find an option, "setup a new connection or network".Click on it
7)Now select, "setup a dial up connection".
8)When you click on that, you will get your modem information.
9)Click on the modem which shows data modem.
10)After that, type your phone number as *99# .
11)Username and password should be blank.
12)Name your connection for ex., Aircel GPRS Connection.
13)Now, click on connect.
14)When you click on connect, in your mobile phone, you can observe for a few seconds "connecting" message will be displayed , a green globe will be there on the display screen. Now you are connected to internet through your mobile phone.

Now go to your favorite browser and start using internet. Speed may depend on network availability and also depends whether it is GPRS and 3G also.If network is 3G and your phone is also 3G phone, you will get good speed.

Mobile phone used in above example is Sony Ericsson Z550i and Network provider is Aircel. Procedure will be same for all.

We can even connect via both (mobile and computer) bluetooth than USB cable. The procedure is almost same and has no changes on this. Only one thing you need to do is, pair both the systems bluetooth in order to get internet connection.

Good article.
