Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool is a software that can be used for working with Indian Languages like Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam. It can be used while entering data, simple typing , filling forms and much more. It is very useful and also very easy to use. In this resource I will explain everything in detail about Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool.
Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool is one the softwares that had been developed by the Microsoft especially for Indians. It enables the user to work with or in Indian languages without any problem. It allows various functions related to languages including transitions also. You need not learn the keyboard placement of various letters of various languages. Instead you just need to type in English and it will convert it into the respective language. You can handle, use and manage a number of Indian languages using this Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool. There are two versions of the software that are available with the software one is for blogs or the online version and the second is the version for desktops.
The web version of the software is such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome or Opera . Similarly the desktop version is also compatible wityh most of the operating systems including Windows XP SP2 or higher, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The requirement of system for using the software is 512 MB RAM and a 1 GHz Processor. Only one thing you need to have with the software is Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 which will help you in the installation of Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool.
How to enable Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool in Windows XP
1)After installing Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool you need to do the following:
2)Go to the control panel and there open the 'Regional and Language Options' entry.
3)Now go to the language tab and under the 'Supplemental Language Support' section check the box named 'Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai)'.
4)Then go to the details button in 'Text Services and input Languages'.
5)Now go to Advanced tab and select the checkbox of 'Extend support of advanced text services to all programs'.
6)Now open the 'Settings' tab and click on the 'Language Bar'
7)Finally select the checkbox of 'Show the Language bar on the desktop' and click on ok.
How to use Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool in Windows XP
1)Once you have enabled the Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool here are the ways to use it in Windows XP.
2)Open the text editor where you want to use native language.
3)In the taskbar choose the language you want to use from the list of available languages in the taskbar.
4)Now you are ready to use . Go to the text editor and type in English, it will get converted in the respective language.
How to use Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool in Windows Vista
First of enable the Language bar just in the same way as explained above for Windows XP. Now to use it in Windows Vista follow these steps:
1. Go to control panel.
2. Now go to 'Clock, Language and Region' and click on 'Change keyboards or other input methods'..
3. Then go to 'Keyboards and Languages' tab and select the 'Change Keyboards' button.
4.Now click on 'Language Bar' and select 'Floating on Desktop' and finally click ok.
5. Now just open the text editor you want to use and you can do the necessary changes and conversion of languages there.
How to use Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool in Windows 7
The process of enabling and activating the Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool in Windows 7 is similar to that in Vista. You have to use the same method as explained above for Vista in order to use Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool in Windows 7.
