In this article, I will discuss various issues in downloading legal issues and other security threats in downloading an installing Windows 8 or any other software from bit torrent websites.

Windows is 8 not here yet and not even the official name of the next Windows release is confirmed yet. But do a quick search in Google for "Windows 8 download" and you will be surprised. Several websites are offering illegal downloads of malicious software labelled as Windows 8. So far, there are no versions of Windows 8 are available for download legally.

If you are looking for Windows 8, don't be fooled. It is not out there yet and it is not expected to be available for download for several months from now.

There is no doubt that Microsoft is working actively on the next version of Windows. Microsoft chief has mentioned it couple of times on various occasions that the upcoming version of Windows is a very promising release. However, he has not given any clue on the features that is coming up in Windows next version.

Microsoft Windows operating system require a license to install and any downloads from bit torrent sites are illegal. This is applicable for pre-beta and beta versions of Windows.

After Microsoft officially announce Windows 8 and it is ready for public beta, the software will be available for download from Microsoft website. That will be most reliable and legally safe way to get an early look in to the new software. And if it is available for download legally, why take a risk with illegal downloads from bit torrent websites?

Most people who use illegal downloads are unaware of the fact that their personal data is being transmitted outside your computer. The data transmitted include your passwords, bank information and you may end up losing your money in your bank. Many malicious software can watch which site you are browsing and what login/password you are using. So, be careful. Avoid any kind of downloads from torrent sites but wait for the official announcement of Windows 8 from Microsoft website.
