Definitions of Netbook and Tablet Computer: Netbook Computer: Netbook computers work on the basis of Cloud Computing. Netbook computer is smaller in size and less in weight. Netbook computers does not have provisions like an ordinary Desktop computer or a Laptop computer. The entire working of Netbook computer is based on the online / internet concept.
Tablet PC or Computer: Tablet PC or Computer is considered to be the finest evolutions of Computer so far. It is sure to change the way we look at the Computers during this year 2011.
Attributes and differences between Netbook and Tablet Computer:
Operating System: The Netbook computer operates under Windows or Linux Operating System. The Tablet Computer operates under iPhone OS or Android Operating System.
Hardware: The Netbook computer looks alike Laptop computers when it comes to Hardware. The Tablet Computer is finest mixture of Laptop computer, Mobile Phone and Digital Camera. Both Netbook computer and Tablet computer does not have the facility of CD / DVD / Blu-ray disc drive.
User Interface: The Netbook computer has Keyboard and Track-pad user interface. The Tablet Computer has got Touch Screen user interface.
Price: The Netbook is now comparably cheaper than Tablet Computer and available in the price range of Rs.20,000/- to Rs.30,000/-. At present, the Tablet Computer is available at a price of Rs.30,000/- but during this year 2011, it is sure to come down.
Usage to consumers: The Netbook computers were introduced as cheaper computers and it is useful for frequent travelers. At the same time, because of its cheaper price, mostly students have started using Netbook computers. Unfortunately, when the Netbook computers are capturing the computer market, the arrival of Tablet PC or Computer has ruined its future prospects.
The Tablet PC or Computers have the advantage of easy portability, browsing e-mails, watching movies, listening to music and reading E-books etc. The latest version of Tablet PC or Computers have powerful Cameras on both sides which enables us to take Photographs as well as to have tele-conferences.
Conclusion about Netbook and Tablet PC: If you are using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Photoshop etc. then you have to have the Netbook with Keyboard and Trackpad. If you are an ardent consumer of Internet, then the Tablet PC is best suited for you. Also you can attend your Office work in Tablet PC but typing in a Tablet PC is a great hurdle. However, separate peripherals for typing are available in the market for Tablet PCs. If you are an office goer it is better to think twice before you buy a Tablet PC or Computer.
