Touch FreezeThose who use Laptop computer might have felt problems with the touch-pad of their Laptop. When you are using keyboard of a Laptop, if your palms or thumb touches the Touch-pad, then the cursor of your Laptop moves somewhere, where you did not intended to. This would cause further trouble, if we continuously type or do our work without noticing the change in cursor position. To avoid this problem, many of us would type in Laptop with hands risen well above the Touch-pad. Such method will definitely cause strain to hands and serious repercussions. The solution for the above problem is available in the Internet as freeware. One such best program is "Touch freeze". It is a simple freeware program. It can be installed in Windows NT / Windows 2000 / Windows Vista / Windows XP / Windows 7 operating systems.

It is enough that we download this freeware and install it in our Laptop. There are no other settings to be done with this program. Once the Windows Operating System starts, this program auto starts and sees that there exists no problem because of our Touch-pad in Laptop. This program takes just 768 Kb memory space to operate. When we type text in keyboard, this program protects it by disabling the Touch-pad.

There is another method whereby you can disable Touch-pad without using the said program. For this, each and every time you have choose the "Control Panel", then click at the "Mouse properties" icon and choose the button "Device select" and check the box at "Disable Touch Pad when U.S.B. Pointing Device is present " by ticking it. This is an circumvent process and to enable the Touch-pad once again, you have to do the reverse by unchecking the said box.

Also if you never want to use the Touch-pad, you can do so by checking the Touch-pad settings in your Laptop and tick the box "Disable Device". In some of the models of Laptop produced and marketed by Dell, H.P., Sony Vaio such software are installed to enable / disable Touch-pad, while buying the Laptops. We can use this software by visiting the Touch-pad settings.
