Windows Azure provides the developers with compute and storage solutions to host and manage web applications on the internet through Microsoft data centers. Windows Azure provides developers with on-demand compute and storage to host, scale, and manage web applications on the internet through Microsoft® datacenters.

A job posting in Microsoft career website indicates that there is a possibility of Windows 8 storage through Windows Azure. Even though Microsoft has not officially announced any details about Windows Azure-based Windows 8 storage, there are rumors about it confirming Microsoft will be using cloud based storage for Windows 8.
