In this article, I will explain to you how to fix the sound problems in Windows Media Player?


The Window Media player is the Player provided By the Microsoft when you have installed the window version in your operating system and this media player is compatible with the most of the audio and video files and covers around all the files that will be meant for audio and video entertainment.

Sometimes, It seems that some files might not plays effectively when started in Media player and the reason may be the missing extension of that file in the database of the Media player or might be some other problem.

If you faces sound problem while working or playing files in the Media player then below are provided the tips to fix the sound problems-

* When you are working with Media player and playing the file using the CD/DVD then eject the CD/DVD from the CD/DVD disk drive because sometimes, the CD/DVD might not giving the exact information to the read/write head so it is better to eject the CD/DVD.

How to fix the sound problems in Windows Media Player?

* The sound card and controller may not receive the data from the Media player because of the communication error between them. So, make sure that sound device is properly installed on your computer and try every step to install the sound card in your computer.

* Sometimes, it may also happen that some other program is making use of the sound device and preventing the player to access the resources from it. So, always close all programs because it sometimes slows down the speed of processing and also involved in the sharing of the resources.

How to fix the sound problems in Windows Media Player?

* The drivers also plays a important role in the working of the player so make sure that the drivers are fully installed in your computer and if there is an problem with the drivers then uninstall the previously installed drivers and then install the drivers again by using the Windows update websites so that the website can provide you with all latest updates.

* The DirectX version should be such that it compatible with the player as well as with the hardware components there in the computer system and install the DirectX version according to your Media player requirement.

* If still the problem persists then run the sound Device Troubleshooter by using the Tools menu and then choose options and then click on the “Speakers” on the devices tab, then click advanced options and choose Hardware tab and after that click on troubleshooting.
